Well, this is it! I have arrived on the last day of my trip around the world in 50 days, 5 continents – 10 countries.
It has been a truly amazing experience and I would like to thank all the people I met on the road and back home for making it such a memorable one.
There is a Dutch saying that goes like this: “Noord, Oost, Zuid of West – thuis is het best”. Which translates as “North, East, South or West – home is the best”. My late sweet dad had created his own little version that ended with “thuis is het ook een zooitje”: home is a mess too!
That might be true, but it is my mess. And I love it.
